Meeting Minutes

Opening:

The regular meeting of Omaha N-Trak was called to order at 2:00 PM on 13 January, 2008 at Harvey Swangers by Scott Crites, President.

Present:

A.        Approval of Agenda

The agenda was unanimously approved as distributed.

B.        Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as distributed.

C.      Treasurers Report

Richard Ralston reported:

D.        Open Issues

The Great Train Expo show will be February 9th & 10th at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs.  Set up will be Friday, February, 8th from 12:00 - 6:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 - 10:00 AM.  Show hours on Saturday and Sunday are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  We will be in spot 305 and should be 40' x 20'.

December was a busy month with the creation of new modules.  Club members have created 4 6' modules and 2 4' modules.  Peter Todd has created a 12' module featuring a container ship.  John Sanderhoff displayed his new 4' module.  Most will be ready for The Great Train Expo.

Scott Crites reported that the annual fee for hosting the website is due in March.  It was discussed that the site needs to be kept up to date with minutes and events.  Scott will look into the generic hosting templates and report at the next meeting.  A vote was called and the motion to renew the website was unanimously approved.

Dues for 2008 are due.  Richard Ralston will contact individuals who have not paid.

E.         New Business

Harvey Swanger suggested buying ratchet bar clamps to replace the C-clamps.  The thought being it expedite set up and tear down.  Perhaps each member could buy 2?  Sources will be investigated for the best price and reported at the next meeting.

Richard Ralston reported the UP Museum was again pleased with our display and would like to return for Railroad Days on July 12th and 13th.

Adjournment:

Meeting was adjourned at 3:00 PM by Scott Crites and a DVD of trains along southern Californias coast was watched by attendees.  The next general meeting will be scheduled at THe Great Train Expo.
